I love to paint. Since 2000, I’ve been experimenting and developing my skills and techniques. I find inspiration everywhere I look and I like to find the special things in the sights I see all around every day. I have travelled extensively and lived in many different countries finding inspiration in the architecture, the people, the wildlife and the street life.

About me...

An accidental artist.

I started painting after a friend (thanks Lynn) invited me to join her private watercolour classes, once a week in her Tehran living room. I became hooked and, despite a young family, challenging career and multiple international moves continued to experiment and practice. I mainly paint in watercolour and ink. I take multiple photographs, all the time, of everything, from great sights to stray dogs and paint primarily from my photos. I love nature and often paint plants and animals. At the end of the day - I love to paint - every day, and many of the subjects I choose are every day objects - hence Every Day Art.

Pawtraits

I have recently launched Pawtraits!. Individual original watercolour paintings of your dog (or cat) based on photos. A Pawtrait is a lovely momento of best friends, past and present. Take a look at my Pawtrait gallery.

My paintings are done on 140lb, 9x12” pre-stretched watercolour paper using artist grade paints. On commissioning I ask for a $20 non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of materials.

Unframed Pawtraits are $100.
Unframed Pawtraits with a white matt board are $120.

I want to be sure that the finished painting meets your expectations and reflects the character of your four-legged friend. I will take the balance of payment only if you are completely happy with your “Pawtrait”.
