Every Day Art
I love to paint. Since 2000, I’ve been experimenting and developing my skills and techniques. I find inspiration everywhere I look and I like to find the special things in the sights I see all around every day. I have travelled extensively and lived in many different countries finding inspiration in the architecture, the people, the wildlife and the street life.
An accidental artist.
I started painting after a friend (thanks Lynn) invited me to join her private watercolour classes, once a week in her Tehran living room. I became hooked and, despite a young family, challenging career and multiple international moves continued to experiment and practice. I mainly paint in watercolour and ink. I take multiple photographs, all the time, of everything, from great sights to stray dogs and paint primarily from my photos. I love architecture and often focus on houses and buildings. At the end of the day - I love to paint - every day, and many of the subjects I choose are every day objects - hence Every Day Art.
